Wix and Google have announced an expanded partnership that integrates Google My Business (GMB) directly into Wix. Companies can now access GMB data, interact with customers and manage their profiles directly from Wix.
The value proposition of services like Wix is that they support the technical side of a website. Wix also offers marketing tools to help small businesses thrive. This allows companies to focus on what they do best.
The integration of Google My Business is part of the Wix business model that makes online business easier. A strengthened partnership with Google simplifies Google My Business (GMB) profile management and puts Wix in a strong position in the local search industry.
Everything a business owner can do through the GMB interface, including managing their profile in Google Search and Google Maps, can be done right from the Wix platform through the familiar interface.
Wix announced that “Business owners can manage their Business Profiles, update their business information and hours, add photos, update their website, create posts, add attributes, respond to reviews, share Q&As, message with customers and accept bookings.
An up-to-date Business Profile is considered 2.7 times more reputable, 70% more likely to attract location visits and are 50% more likely to lead to a purchase.”
Wix already has experience with integrating Google services directly into the Wix platform. Here are some of the Google integrations already built into Wix:

The addition of GMB is just the latest in many integrations with Google, so as I said, it should be hassle-free.

There are other platforms available to help small businesses build an online presence, but none offer all of the marketing and sales features available with a Wix account.
Wix has made great strides in its offering, including SEO. The integration of GMB with the Wix platform strengthens Wix as an important factor for any business looking to connect online without having to make large investments to overcome a steep technical learning curve.
